Sassparillo Rose, 2000 bay Half Arab pinto mare.
She was our first foal, we bought her mother already bred. She is half
sister to Colesto Strikes. She is very flashy with her four high white
socks and wide white blaze, actually just enough to register her with
the Pinto Horse Association as well as Half Arab. We sent her out to be
trained and she is now my favorite riding horse. She is quick and
sensitive, but level-headed when faced with scary things out on the
trail. I took her into a western pleasure class at a local AHSI show in
2007 and she surprised me by taking 3rd out of a class of 4.
She wasn’t even in a bit yet, we are still using the bitless training bridle on
her! She is a fun mare.
